Your community counts on a quick response to a wide range of calls. But to do that, you need a truck that’s as prepared and versatile as your department. Built on a Ford F550 or  GMC 5500 4-door chassis and powered by a 300-350  horsepower turbo diesel, the Contender® mini-pumper can tackle a wide range of scenarios: initial response, wild- land, urban interface and rescue. All-wheel drive powers you over rough terrain and snowy roads. And it comes with 6-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission and a 300-gallon poly tank.

Options include a wide range of equipment to fit your department's needs and pump up your performance, including winches, gas or diesel generators rated up to 6,000 watts,
20" bumper extension and brush guard, hose reel, telescoping lights and more.

The Contender mini-pumper body features your choice of roll-up painted doors, roll-up doors and lap doors, a rear compartment and a 12-foot, Duo-Safety two-section ladder mounted above the passenger side compartment. There are also two cross-lay beds for easy hose access and 15 feet of soft suction hose. Includes an NFPA lighting package and a combination tri-light cluster tail lights with integrated back-up lights for visibility. And you can select optional halogen, strobe and LED warning light packages.

THE MORE YOU BRING, THE MORE YOU CAN DO. Carry booster reels, generator or other gear in the large (118 total cu. ft.) storage compartments, featuring roll-up or lap doors. There’s a full-height and full-depth compartment ahead and behind each wheel, and generous compartments above each rear wheel that provide easy access. And you can include shelves and slide out trays.

PUMP UP THE VOLUME. The Contender mini-pumpers are available with a Waterous 500 gpm or Hale 750 gpm pump. Pump in motion is available with PTO pumps. Each features stainless steel plumbing with brass and a flexible hose. For maximum performance, choose a Hercules™ CAFS foam system that is easy to operate and provides the maximum fire fighting power in a compact package. Or, specify a Foam Pro 1600 with a 30-gallon integral foam tank. You can also spec a variety of front, rear and side discharges based on your department’s requirements.
 

ACCESS  THE CONTROLS. The interior control panel is positioned between the front seats for ease of use. It operates running lights, scene lights, communications equipment and a range of accessories.
